Here are today’s dispatches from the crossroads of faith, media and culture.<\/p>\n

1. October Baby<\/em> arriving in…March? <\/strong>I guess this is what you call a preemie.\u00a0 Actually, the pro-life film from award-winning directors Jon and Andrew Erwin is already garnering heaps of praise from the likes of the Dove Foundation<\/a>.\u00a0 Provident Films\u2014known for its association with such hit faith movies as Courageous<\/em> and Fireproof<\/em>\u2014and Samuel Goldwyn Films (distributor of such hit faith films as Fireproof, Amazing Grace<\/em> and Facing the Giants<\/em>, among others)\u00a0 have signed on to market and distribute.<\/strong> A production of the Erwin Brothers and American Family Studios, October Baby<\/em> <\/em><\/strong> tells the story of 19-year-old Hannah, who finds out she is adopted and is the survivor of an attempted abortion. Hannah then goes on a road trip to find answers and locate her birth mother.\u00a0 Jon Erwin, who also co-wrote the script, describes it as a story that demonstrates “how powerful forgiveness can be.”
