(Or technically a third.) EW has confirmed a Variety report that the studio has plans to reunite Jim Carrey with the\u00a0<strong>Yes Man<\/strong> writers (Jarrad Paul and Andrew Mogel) for a new chapter in the life of the newscaster who is handed God\u2019s powers and responsibilities after complaining about the big man\u2019s negligence.<\/em>..<br \/>\n<em>This wouldn\u2019t be the first Bruce sequel; <strong>Evan Almighty<\/strong> attempted to hand the reins over to (Steve) Carell\u2019s character, but that expensive, effects-heavy 2007 film underperformed and barely grossed $100 million.<br \/>\n<\/em><strong>Comment: <\/strong>There&#8217;s a good reason why <em>Bruce Almighty <\/em>is Jim Carrey&#8217;s most successful film. Besides being genuinely funny, it also has genuine heart &#8212; and a positive, optimistic view of faith.\u00a0 <em><br \/>\n<\/em><\/p>\n<p><iframe title=\"Bruce Almighty (9\/9) Movie CLIP - Bruce Learns to Pray (2003) HD\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/yOgdjlPRWMg?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>BTW, as I once said to Lino Rulli (<em>The Catholic Guy<\/em>) on his SiriusXM\/Catholic Channel show<em>, Evan Almighty <\/em>would have worked a lot better if Carell&#8217;s character was instructed to build a spaceship instead of an ark. The whole ark thing had already been done (far more memorably) the first time. Although, I do have to say, this was a nice moment:<\/p>\n<p><iframe title=\"One Act of Random Kindness - ARK!
