And, while we frequently focus on organizations (like Planned Parenthood) and policies (like ObamaCare) that promote and fund abortion, it’s the abortion doctor who often stays in the shadows, out of sight, away from publicity.

Well, I’d like to shine a little light on a troubling story out of Florida involving an abortion doctor – a story that should be of great interest and concern to all who respect and protect life.

James Pendergraft is the owner of five abortion facilities in Florida and a late-term clinic in Washington, D.C. “specializing” in abortions past the 24th week of pregnancy. A detailed report by LifeNews.com reveals the disturbing details about his professional career and his latest legal battle involving a botched abortion that left a now-10-year-old child with cerebral palsy, no function on the left side of her body, strokes and brain damage, physical, emotional and cognitive delays, lung damage, chronic lung disease and seizure disorders.

The child’s mother, who went to Pendergraft for the abortion in 2001, sued the doctor for medical malpractice. Last month, a Florida jury concluded Pendergraft should pay the surviving child $36 million in damages. And, now, a Florida judge has rejected Pendergraft’s request for a new trial and denied a motion to set aside the verdict for monetary damages. Barring an appeal, that means Pendergraft and his abortion business must payout the multi-million dollar damage award.

No, this is not the first run-in with the law for Pendergraft. It seems he has quite a history in this area. According to LifeNews, he has had his medical license suspended four times for botched abortions, illegal late-term abortions, and dispensing drugs without a license. He has also faced legal and disciplinary actions for making up false threats from pro-life advocates and “reporting” them to authorities.

Now it appears that Pendergraft is branching out.

This from LifeNews.com:

He also opened a new web site, LateTermAbortion.net, that describes in detail how his new office is soliciting women nationwide and from other countries for “intracardiac injection of medication into the fetal heart,” which kills the unborn child. Pendergraft describes how his new abortion center uses long spinal needles to pierce the pregnant abdomen and inject the hearts of late-term unborn babies in the womb with poison or air.

Pendergraft makes it clear on the web site that he does not complete the abortion process at his new location but discharges patients 15 minutes after the injection and leaves them to go to their own personal physician or find a medical center nearby or in their home state to remove the body of the deceased unborn child. Without treatment women in this condition can die.

You need to read this entire story, posted here.

Yes, we will continue to challenge the organizations and policies that advocate abortion. But, let’s not forget about those so-called medical practitioners, doctors like James Pendergraft. We must tell the story of abortionists – who make a conscious and calculated decision – to make a living by destroying unborn children. As Pendergraft once again discovered, there are legal consequences to his actions.

You won’t get this story from the mainstream media.
