Doug does apologize before going to work, but I could feel my brain triggering anger. I stood my ground with God, with the New Testament concept of a God of Love, Spirit. My prayer was an affirmation that God can control my brain and therefore the anger. Within 20 minutes, the anger was not only gone, but replaced with a thankful calm.<\/p>\n<p>Doug came home and showed me his new beard. Yes, I cracked up.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/wp-media.beliefnet.com\/sites\/269\/2012\/02\/bearded-dad-small.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-793\" src=\"https:\/\/wp-media.beliefnet.com\/sites\/269\/2012\/02\/bearded-dad-small.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"384\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>From <em>21st Century Science and Health, &#8220;<\/em>People, who touch the fringe of Christ\u2019s garment<a title=\"\" href=\"#_ftn1\"><strong>[1]<\/strong><\/a>and master their illegitimate convictions, their angers, and their fight-or-flight reactions, will rejoice in the proof of healing\u2014in a sweet and certain sense that God is Love.&#8221;<\/p>\n<div><\/p>\n<hr align=\"left\" size=\"1\" width=\"33%\" \/>\n<div>\n<p><a title=\"\" href=\"#_ftnref1\"><strong>[1]<\/strong><\/a> Matt. 9:20<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Oh sure, my last blog post is about making marriage work and this morning my husband wakes up grumpy and not exactly nice.
