They weren&#8217;t part of the family.<\/p>\n<p>Later in life, I became a parent and we even fostered children for 15 years. One child had an attachment issue and it occurred to me to get a cat for him. It felt right for the cat to be in the house with the child. I was stunned. The child turned around and I admitted that God can dramatically transform people, especially since previously there was no way in hell, heaven, or earth, that I would ever allow an animal in the house.<\/p>\n<p>Anyway, all our children, and even I, have pets in the house. I&#8217;ve noticed, pets have become a hot commodity in the nation, sometimes getting better care than people. But, then, pets sometimes act better than people.<\/p>\n<p>So, I am doing my grandmotherly duty of babysitting four-legged grandchildren while our children travel. I can&#8217;t believe I just wrote that.<\/p>\n<p>From <em>Science and Health, &#8220;<\/em>Daniel felt safe in the lion\u2019s den<a title=\"\" href=\"#_ftn1\"><strong>[1]<\/strong><\/a> because he understood the control which Love held over all ideas. Paul proved the viper to be harmless.<a title=\"\" href=\"#_ftn2\"><strong>[2]<\/strong><\/a>All of God\u2019s creatures, moving in the harmony of Science, are harmless, useful, and indestructible.
