From 21st Century Science and Health<\/a>:<\/em><\/p>\n

Divine Science raises the standard of freedom and says: \u201cFollow me! Escape from the control of sick, sinful, and dying knowledge!\u201d Jesus designated the way. Citizens of the world, accept the \u201cglorious freedom of the children of God,\u201d[4]<\/strong><\/a> and be free! This is your divine right. The self-deluded idolatrous views, not divine law, has captivated you, made you arthritic, made you a procrastinator, weakened your body, and ruined your reputation.<\/p>\n

God did not institute physical laws to control us. We do not have to get sick because we broke a human-made health law. Jesus healed in direct opposition to, and in defiance of, physical laws and conditions.<\/p>\n

To be dependent on that which is constantly changing is not reasonable. False dependencies will cease as we recognize our God-given dominion over the temporal senses and acknowledge our heritage of freedom. Human beings will someday assert their freedom in the name of Almighty God. Dropping our present beliefs, we will recognize harmony as the spiritual reality, and disorder as the temporal unreality. We will control our own bodies through the understanding of divine Science.<\/p>\n

Like our nation, Christian Science has its Declaration of Independence. God has endowed us with inalienable rights among which are self-government, reason, and conscience. We are properly self-governed only when we are guided rightly and governed by our Maker, divine Truth and Love.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
