Millions of people are looking for a partner. Why this rampant pursuit?<\/p>\n

I only ask that because this phenomenon isn\u2019t new. Being a Bible reader, I recall the first chapter of Genesis reiterating a spiritual view of creation. The picture actually portrays an ongoing revelation of good, rather than a final, done deal, now make the best of it, creation.<\/p>\n

But low and behold, soon after the second chapter of Genesis starts, what do we read? Adam is created and needs a helpmate. Come on God, couldn\u2019t you do better than that? Right from the get-go we human beings are lonely and need to hurry and sign up on www.match.com<\/a><\/p>\n

Why didn\u2019t the allegory talk about an innocent baby growing in a garden, who discovers other babies and they all get along, multiplying beautifully?<\/p>\n

Well, I didn\u2019t write the Bible, so my version isn\u2019t the topic. We have what we have and I can still learn from the Adam and Eve allegory.<\/p>\n

All those voices or serpents telling me I need someone else to solve my problems are the exact same voices telling me I need to blame someone else for my problems. I can read Genesis and see where this scenario gets people. It gets them right into messes.<\/p>\n

The Bible<\/a> has other stories to learn from. Christ Jesus looked to God for help. He got it. He never had to blame God for the messes he got into because God was right there to get him out.<\/p>\n

So, I can stop expecting another human being to solve my loneliness and I can stop blaming others for my irresponsible behavior (not that Jesus was irresponsible, he wasn\u2019t but the humans who misjudged him were irresponsible, yet Jesus didn\u2019t even blame then still).<\/p>\n

Anyway, getting over myself, I can start seeing my completeness in the revelation of goodness. I can be accountable for my mistakes and fix them. I can choose love as my partner and discover love all around. I can be grateful when love manifests itself in nice relationships<\/a>, even if the relationship was something unexpected.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
