A powerful concept I\u2019ve pondered is the oneness of cause and effect.<\/p>\n

Divine Science is embedded in a unified cause and effect.<\/p>\n

Interestingly, the effectiveness of knowing cause and effect as one and the same, offers me more balance in life.<\/p>\n

On the other hand, every time I attempt to divide cause and effect, I get off kilter.<\/p>\n

What tries to divide cause and effect?<\/p>\n

Time, human beings, education, religion, and belief are a few dividers.<\/p>\n

The human mind notoriously divides cause and effect and suffers the consequence.<\/p>\n

It says, “Prayer causes healing.” Well, yes, and no. Maybe healing causes <\/a>prayer. The point is not getting stuck on the divided cause and effect.<\/p>\n

I practice removing from my mind the attempt to divide cause and effect.<\/p>\n

Instead of filling my brain with thoughts of climate causing the effect of a change in the weather, or food causing a change in body weight, or money causing the effects of gain or lack, I think on God as cause and effect.<\/p>\n

Indeed, it looks like money, gain, or lack, are connected, but they are measurable units and divided by time and circumstance. It takes time to gain or lose. And, while $100 is a gain for Fred it can be a loss to Sylvia.<\/p>\n

Divided causes and effects are not the cause or effect we want to get to know. The spiritual truth of one spiritual cause and effect lightens my mind and I\u2019m better able to give power to God.<\/p>\n

Love is cause and effect. The cause of love effects love. The cause of truth effects truth. The effect of life is life caused.<\/p>\n

I don\u2019t over-do this practice of cause and effect as one. When it\u2019s cold outside, I wear warm clothes. I will say, \u201cHey husband, please put more wood in the woodstove.\u201d But, more and more, rather than absorbing myself in fickle causes and effects, I contemplate the cause and effect of mercy, justice, compassion, truth, to discover as I live justice I feel justice.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
