The purpose of a ladder is to reach high places.<\/p>\n<p>It is believed that the idea of a ladder was used over 10,000 years ago. The ladder is also mentioned in the Bible. Jacob had a dream and in the dream he saw a ladder reaching from Heaven to earth. (Gen 28:12)<\/p>\n<p>The word ladder is used once in the King James Version whereas the word \u201cstairway\u201d is used in other Bible versions. But they are the same in that they assist us to move between different levels.<\/p>\n<p>We learn there is a difference between the material and spiritual levels.<\/p>\n<p>Ladders are also used for multiple reasons, even in the closet. We can tie our scarves around the rungs of a ladder, or stack our shoes on a ladder, or hang our kitchen pots on a ladder, to save room and make items more accessible.<\/p>\n<p>The infamous \u201ccooperate ladder\u201d can be climbed, however we need to remember it is everyone on the lower rungs that allowed for the rise. All ladders have to be propped up by something from the bottom reminding us to seek equality, balance.<\/p>\n<p>From <i>21<sup>st<\/sup> Century Science and Health, \u201c<\/i>Material wealth, fame, and social organizations have no authority or influence in the presence of God. We attain clearer views of Principle as we break up cliques, level monetary wealth with honesty, and let worth be judged according to wisdom.
