It started when I was asked to write an article about <a href=\"http:\/\/www.gardenconservancy.org\/opendays\">National Garden Conservancy Open Days<\/a>. In my research, I visited a local participating garden. The owners of this garden are amazing people and graciously allowed me the opportunity to see a condensed version of intense beauty and respect for nature.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_1943\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1943\" style=\"width: 614px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><a href=\"https:\/\/wp-media.beliefnet.com\/sites\/269\/2013\/05\/ds-fountain-small.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-1943 \" alt=\"Fountain surrounded by fabulous stone work\" src=\"https:\/\/wp-media.beliefnet.com\/sites\/269\/2013\/05\/ds-fountain-small.jpg\" width=\"614\" height=\"377\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-1943\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Fountain surrounded by fabulous stone work<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>I laughed at myself as I drove home and looked at our lawn. No trees. No landscaping, just a sea of dandelions.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Below are excerpts from <i><a href=\"http:\/\/bookstore.trafford.com\/Products\/SKU-000137087\/21st-Century-Science-and-Health-with-Key-to-the-Scriptures.aspx\">21<sup>st<\/sup> Century Science and Health<\/a>.<\/i><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>During his night of gloom, and yet success, in the garden of Gethsemane,<a title=\"\" href=\"#_ftn1\"><b>[1]<\/b><\/a> Jesus realized the absolute error of a belief in any possible human intelligence. Neglect, bigotry, and indifference pained and devastated him. His students slept. Couldn\u2019t they care? Jesus was waiting and struggling in silent torment. He uncomplainingly was protecting a world. He asked them: \u201cCould none of you stay awake with me for one hour?\u201d<a title=\"\" href=\"#_ftn2\"><b>[2]<\/b><\/a> There was no response to that human request, and so Jesus turned forever away from earth to heaven, from sense to Soul.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><i>Genesis 3:1\u20133. <\/i>\u00a0Now the serpent was more crafty than any of the wild animals the Lord God had made. He said to the woman, \u201cDid God really say, \u2018You must not eat from any tree in the garden\u2019?\u201d The woman said to the serpent, \u201cWe may eat fruit from the trees in the garden, but God did say, \u2018You must not eat fruit from the tree that is in the middle of the garden, and you must not touch it, or you will die.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<p><i>Mythical snake<\/i><\/p>\n<p>Where does this talking conniving serpent come from? The serpent enters into the metaphor only as evil. We have nothing in the animal kingdom which represents the species described\u2014a talking serpent. So be glad that evil, by whatever figure presented, contradicts itself and has no origin or support in Truth and good. Seeing this, we should have faith to fight all claims of evil because they are worthless and unreal.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Understanding the self-sustaining Life is the \u201cplants bearing seed according to their kinds.\u201d<a title=\"\" href=\"#_ftn3\"><b>[3]<\/b><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The pains of the body can be salutary, if they force the mind to dig itself out of false beliefs and transplant its affections in Soul, where the creations of God are good, \u201cgiving joy to the heart.\u201d<a title=\"\" href=\"#_ftn4\"><b>[4]<\/b><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Mind made the \u201cplant of the field\u201d<a title=\"\" href=\"#_ftn5\"><b>[5]<\/b><\/a> before it appeared on the earth.
