Sometimes they drive us nuts, other times they are extremely pertinent to a situation. In the case of religion, when the demand is to keep religion relevant, details can be reviewed. This post is the third in a series of reviews of the tenets associated to Christian Science.<\/p>\n<p>Tenet number 3, from <em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.trafford.com\/Bookstore\/BookSearchResults.aspx?Search=cheryl%20petersen\">Science and Health<\/a>, <\/em>reads: We acknowledge God&#8217;s forgiveness of sin in the destruction of sin and the spiritual understanding that drives out evil as unreal. But sin will continue to be self-punished as long as the belief lasts.<\/p>\n<p>My comments:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Despair, destruction, torture, decay, etc. can be overcome with Life, Truth, and Love.<\/li>\n<li>Hate, fear, revenge, unfaithfulness, and so on, melt in the presence of spiritual understanding. Hate will not melt in the presence of more hate.<\/li>\n<li>All that works against God, Soul, can vanish from consciousness.<\/li>\n<li>To believe in a power opposite God, good, is to experience its self-sabotaging nature.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Details, details, details.
