The Lord\u2019s Prayer is the prayer of Spirit, not of mortal perceptions. Jesus said, \u201cPray, therefore, like this:\u201d<a title=\"\" href=\"#_ftn1\"><strong>[1]<\/strong><\/a> and he gave that prayer which covers all human needs.<\/p>\n<p>In the phrase, \u201cDeliver us from the evil one,\u201d<a title=\"\" href=\"#_ftn2\"><strong>[2]<\/strong><\/a> the one evil is but another name for the first lie and all liars. Only as we ascend above all habituated feelings and sin can we reach the heaven-born aspiration. The Lord\u2019s Prayer indicates the spiritual consciousness which instantaneously heals the sick.<\/p>\n<p>Some Bible versions include an extra line at the end of the Lord\u2019s Prayer. Bible scholars think that a later copyist may have added it; however, it does not affect the meaning of the prayer itself and has been included here in what I understand to be the spiritual sense of the Lord\u2019s Prayer:<\/p>\n<p>Our Father in heaven,<\/p>\n<p><em>Our Father-Mother God, all-harmonious,<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Hallowed be Your name,<\/p>\n<p><em>One sacred nature,<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Your kingdom come,<\/p>\n<p><em>Your government is come; You are ever-present,<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.<\/p>\n<p><em>Enable us to know\u2014as in heaven, so on earth\u2014God is omnipotent, supreme.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Give us this day our daily bread.<\/p>\n<p><em>Give us grace for today; feed the starved intent.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.<\/p>\n<p><em>And Love is reflected in love.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.<\/p>\n<p><em>And God does not lead us into temptation, but delivers us from sin, disease, and death.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever.<a title=\"\" href=\"#_ftn3\"><strong>[3]<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p><em>For God is infinite, all-power, all Life, Truth, Love, over all, and All. <\/em><\/p>\n<div><\/p>\n<hr align=\"left\" size=\"1\" width=\"33%\" \/>\n<div>\n<p><a title=\"\" href=\"#_ftnref1\"><strong>[1]<\/strong><\/a> Matt. 6:9 (Amplified)<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><a title=\"\" href=\"#_ftnref2\"><strong>[2]<\/strong><\/a> Matt. 6:13<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><a title=\"\" href=\"#_ftnref3\"><strong>[3]<\/strong><\/a> Matt. 6:13 (NKJV)<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&#8220;Christ Jesus taught his disciples one brief prayer, which we name after him the Lord\u2019s Prayer.
