Sometimes life doesn\u2019t work out the way you had hoped. No matter how much you plan, prepare or pray, the unexpected can strike \u2013 and strike hard.<\/p>\n

When then happens you have two choices:
\n1.\tYou can give in and give up, or<\/em>
\n2.\tYou can pick yourself up<\/a> and start over.<\/p>\n

Life doesn\u2019t come with a guarantee, but it does come with this promise: When things fall apart you can take comfort in knowing there\u2019s a plan for your life greater than you can imagine. <\/strong><\/p>\n

Allow this promise to fill you up with love, faith and hope. And allow this promise to give you the strength to start over when things fall apart. Here\u2019s what I do when the unexpected strikes…<\/p>\n

… look into the eyes of my children and seeing love looking back at me.
\n\u2026 feel my wife\u2019s gentle touch and allowing it to tell me I will never be alone and I will always be loved.
\n\u2026 know there is art in me; and it is beautiful.
\n\u2026 tell myself everything will be alright.
\n\u2026 remember it\u2019s never too late to start over.
\n\u2026 hear the truth \u2013 a truth that tells me I am enough because God says I am enough.
\n\u2026 understand batting slumps don\u2019t last forever.
\n\u2026 write these words across my heart: I am a secure, confident, self-loving man.
\n\u2026 save some Grace for myself.
\n\u2026 watch the sunrise and knowing Life, our guest, is on its way.
\n\u2026 keep my eyes wide open to what He is going to do next.
\n\u2026 see what\u2019s good in me.
\n\u2026 smile, laugh, and not taking myself too seriously.
\n\u2026 appreciate the good times and not over thinking the bad.
\n\u2026 listen to my inner voice and doing what it\u2019s telling me to do.
\n\u2026 allow good things to happen.
\n\u2026 acknowledge what\u2019s true; what\u2019s a lie; and what needs to be changed.
\n\u2026 dream anything I want.
\n\u2026 need little and wanting exactly what I have.
\n\u2026 learn to erase the voice that tells me I will never win.
\n\u2026 realize my heart\u2019s true desire is happiness. <\/p>\n
