The little things can be found in how we live, how we love<\/a> and how we can make the most of each day. The little things are easy to spot because they put out a light so bright that the darkness doesn\u2019t stand a chance against the healing power that comes bursting through.<\/p>\n

Over the last several weeks I\u2019ve been making a list of the small things that bring me peace, faith and hope \u2013 beautiful, amazing hope. Here are some little things that make a big difference in my day:<\/strong><\/p>\n

1.\tHearing my children say, \u201cI love you Dad\u201d is like medicine for my soul.
\n2.\tFinding the words that express exactly how I feel.
\n3.\tThe sweet good-night kiss my wife gives.
\n4.\tTaking the first sip of my morning coffee.
\n5.\tWitnessing kindness come alive by the action of others.
\n6.\tThe taste of salt water on my lips after plunging into the ocean.
\n7.\tProviding a home that makes my family feel safe.
\n8.\tHelping someone find their answer.
\n9.\tA favorite song played during my morning run.
\n10.\tBreathing in the fresh air at a baseball game.
\n11.\tThe guilty pleasure of a Diet Coke and popcorn.
\n12.\tWatching my children build their lives and then holding my breath when there is a stumble. <\/p>\n

Enjoying the little things can take you to a place where the darkness seems a little less intimidating and the light feels absolutely amazing.<\/p>\n
