Welcome to Everyday Inspiration<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

My name is Alex Blackwell. For the past four years I\u2019ve been blogging at The BridgeMaker<\/a> \u2013 a faith-based, inspirational blog. <\/p>\n

I\u2019m excited to have the opportunity to begin a new journey with this blog, Everyday Inspiration<\/strong>. More important, I\u2019m excited to meet you and join this wonderful community.<\/p>\n

Writing about inspiring things<\/a> is like medicine for my soul. It reminds me that no matter how difficult life can be, I can always find something that will inspire me; something that will lift my spirits and something that will turn even the hardest day into a day worth savoring.<\/p>\n

All I have to do, all you have to do<\/strong>, is to take the time to look for the inspiration.<\/p>\n

The good news is inspiration is always there, waiting for us and nudging us to remember that every day is indeed worth savoring because every day is a gift.<\/p>\n

Who am I?<\/h2>\n

Believe me; I\u2019m still looking for some of the answers. <\/p>\n

With 50 years under my belt, I\u2019m learning that who I am isn\u2019t as important as what I do. My actions \u2013 the kindness I share; the love I give and the encouragement I offer; is what matters most. And when I do these things, I always seem to run into myself on the journey to discovering who I am<\/em>.<\/p>\n

It will be my pleasure to share a properly-sized window into my life. By doing so, my hope is you\u2019ll see your life reflected back. And in that reflection, you will see that you are not alone. <\/p>\n

We are walking together \u2013 walking to a place full of hope, peace, happiness and inspiration that is meant for all of us.<\/p>\n

So, who am I?<\/strong><\/p>\n

\n\u2026 a father of four wonderful children: Brandon (27), Caitlin (24), Andrew (21) and Emily (14).
\n\u2026 a husband to Mary Beth for the last 28 years.
\n\u2026 a writer.
\n\u2026 an avid Kansas City Royals baseball fan.
\n\u2026 a child of an alcoholic parent.
\n\u2026 a coffee lover.
\n\u2026 a believer in the power of love, kindness and forgiveness.
\n\u2026 a griever of a lost brother.
\n\u2026 a runner.
\n\u2026 a man who is still learning how to be secure, confident and always faithful.<\/p>\n

So, where do I find everyday inspiration?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Here\u2019s a quick peek:<\/p>\n

I find everyday inspiration by\u2026<\/strong>
\n\u2026 seeing love in my children\u2019s eyes.
\n\u2026 hearing Mary Beth laugh.
\n\u2026 watching kindness come to life.
\n\u2026 writing the words that will touch another person\u2019s heart.
\n\u2026 turning up a TobyMac song on my morning run.
\n\u2026 remembering that I am more than enough.
\n\u2026 savoring the sun on my face for one more day.
\n\u2026 finding the courage to take a chance.
\n\u2026 realizing when I need to make a change.
\n\u2026 living beyond my mistakes.<\/p>\n

I\u2019m looking forward to sharing Everyday Inspiration<\/strong> with you three times a week. <\/p>\n

Together, we can inspire each other to never give up; to never turn away from our dreams and to see the beautiful, everyday gifts that are meant for you \u2013 and for me.<\/p>\n
