A church in Florida is <em>not <\/em>mincing words on a sign posted on its grounds, &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.cnn.com\/video\/#\/video\/us\/2009\/07\/10\/pkg.fl.islam.is.devil.sign.wcjb\">Islam is of the Devil&#8221;<\/a>. The church&#8217;s pastor,&nbsp;Terry Jones, has no qualms about the sign, saying he plans on adding other signs to include messages on abortion and gay marriage.<\/p>\n<p>Jones believes this is a message of awareness and an opportunity to talk and re-think, not a message of hate. I&#8217;m not Christian (or Muslim), but I found this statement even more offensive: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.alligator.org\/articles\/2009\/07\/09\/news\/local\/090709_sign.txt\">&#8220;To be a Christian, you would have to agree with that sign.&#8221;<\/a>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>No way, say&nbsp;members of the community, who are protesting outside the church. The church is within its legal limits, but how about some ethical limits? I&#8217;d love to see the section of the Bible that advises Christians in hate-mongering.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Whoa now.
