Here we are in the holiday season.  It’s come so fast, I can’t believe it.  Yet, as always, Hanukah, Christmas, Kwanzaa, and New Years are so wonderful, I want to take time to really cherish every moment, as it will be over soon.<\/p>\n

As I write this, I remind myself that what I love about the holiday season – love, itself.  This is all about love.<\/p>\n

Christmas is totally about love – the love that God gives us, sending His son, Jesus Christ, to teach us, guide us, redeem us from our sins and errors, and to offer eternal salvation.  Christians offer each other gifts, symbolizing our love for one another, and as remembrance of the gifts of the Magi, to the newborn baby Jesus.<\/p>\n

Hanukah is about love, too.  The love and dedication to the faith of God, and of Judaism itself.  Gifts are exchanged, as symbols of love and care for one another.<\/p>\n

Kwanzaa, perhaps the newest of the holidays, is also a celebration of love of African-American culture, and heritage.  People celebrate Kwanzaa by lighting candles, and giving gifts to one another.<\/p>\n

The new year celebrations are all about love, too.  We say goodbye to the old, and love-in the new.  The world is ripe for new possibilities; let us fill our hearts with love and embrace them.<\/p>\n

Even if you’re not religious, or celebrating your heritage – let us all remember to  love one another this holiday season.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
