{"id":335,"date":"2009-09-22T08:55:27","date_gmt":"2009-09-22T08:55:27","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.beliefnet.com\/drnorrischumleysatisfiedlife\/2009\/09\/weight-loss-tips.html"},"modified":"2009-09-22T08:55:27","modified_gmt":"2009-09-22T08:55:27","slug":"weight-loss-tips","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.beliefnet.com\/columnists\/drnorrischumleysatisfiedlife\/2009\/09\/weight-loss-tips.html","title":{"rendered":"Weight Loss Tips"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>How to lose weight, weight loss tips, diets, fat loss programs &#8211; the world is filled with them.&nbsp; It&#8217;s pretty amazing to me that people continue to look for some new, magical formula or solution.&nbsp; It&#8217;s amazing to me that people are overweight or obese at all these days.&nbsp; Don&#8217;t we already know what makes people fat?&nbsp; Don&#8217;t we really know how to lose weight?<\/p>\n<p>Perhaps we don&#8217;t want to hear the truth, much less follow it or do what it takes.<\/p>\n<p>We&#8217;re overweight mainly due to three reasons: &nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>genetic\/family histories of obesity <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>eating too much, and poor food choices<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>physical inactivity<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Yes, there are more reasons that have to do with it, such as emotional problems, habits, hunger, spiritual emptiness, etc.&nbsp; Yes, there&#8217;s a useful body of scientific information about hunger, satiety, and hormones.
