Emerson wrote, “There’s no wound a garden trowel won’t heal.” He was so right! I got up very early this morning, and started my day digging the soil, applying compost, and planting seeds. It was a little bit of hard physical work, but I feel so good from it.<\/p>\n
Yes, it’s last minute. As of this Labor Day past, summer’s over. I still have some wishful thinking left, though. I dream of some fresh lettuce and spinach a month from now. After all, they like cold weather!<\/p>\n
Sure, I could buy nice leafy lettuce, and fresh spinach. But oh how tasty knowing that it was from the sweat of my brow, and the turning of my hand. Nice to know exactly what went into it, and what did not. It’s organic, I know for certain.<\/p>\n
As I sewed each seed, I said a little prayer, thanking God for His amazing and bountiful creation. I said a little prayer asking Him to help these little seeds sprout and grow.<\/p>\n
I’ll let you know when they do sprout, and share some nice pictures of their happy growth. God willing.<\/p>\n
