I was interested in what Mary wrote here about the Food Lovers Fat Loss weight loss program, commenting about my Food Lovers Fat Loss System Review.  She seems to think that we don’t need to buy any program, just observe some simple rules.

Let me distill her comments:

— “eat whatever you want, as long as you don’t go over your calorie limits”
— “Eat less and exercise more.”
— “eat 5 to 6 small portions of food a day…to control your appetite, so you won’t binge later.”
— build more muscle to speed-up your metabolism
— “remember to drink a lot of water”  (I am not sure about her formula for how much to drink.)
— “eat good, wholesome food…”
— eat complex carbohydrates, instead of simple (unless it’s fruit, and if you are diabetic)
— “Add more fruits and vegetables to your diet.”
— “Don’t even bother with bad, fatty food.”
— “eat more wholesome, healthy, non processed and lean foods.”

I think Mary has some good ideas, and a lot of experience.  These are things I do, too, to stay healthy and watch my weight.  I also would add:

— Ask God for help in every way: motivation, learning, participating in life.
— Express yourself physically, emotionally and spiritually.
— Take time for building and nurturing relationships: connect, relate, play!
— Work hard, rest well, and love, love, love.
