All of which helps to expand our sense of what is possible through Active Dreaming. Scroll down for the original text en français.

As far back as I can remember, dreams have been part of my life. As a child, I feasted on morsels of dreams that stayed with me on waking, parts of puzzles for me to assemble. My mother told me that when the progress of a dream did suit her, she simply made it take another direction. My paternal grandmother was also a dreamer. According to family legend, she often had premonitory dreams. All of this was very present in our lives, but was thought to be just entertainment.

My way of seeing dreams changed many years later. When my son Antoine fell ill in 2005, my dreams began to show me family references that were previously unknown to me, like the name of a horse that my grandfather Antoine adored for example, or the existence of a great-aunt who died at birth. This series of discoveries helped me to understand part of my family story that was relevant to my son’s disease..

Intuitively, I understood that my dreams gave me access to unsuspected resources. So I began to record them and to date them scrupulously. Without knowing it, I had jumped down the rabbit hole! Soon after, I met Robert Moss and Active Dreaming gave me a frame and a direction to follow. At that time, I was leading workshops on expressive art, scrapbooking, mixed-media, collages. Very naturally, the marriage of these two activities gave birth to my first “Dream Art Journal “.

I have put the dream in the service of artistic creation and artistic creation in the service of the dream.

An example that touches my heart concerns my friend Alexandre. He had been seriously ill for several months and I was very worried about his health. I asked for a dream to show me something I could create that might help him.

That night, I dreamed that I was at his home, where I took him in my arms and began painting in watercolors. The colors left the picture and I found myself with white circles on a black background. I woke with a feeling of power, and the need to paint this dream right away. I knew that I painted for Alexandre but only later later what I had made… these white circles, stained with red… A for Alexandre, A for Amour (Love)… With my brush I armed his white blood cells to make them stronger and to help them to fight his disease. I offered my painting to my friend, explaining what I had done. I invited him to borrow the imagery. I suggested to him: “Keep this painting in your line of sight as much as possible, Draw on it as a generator, pumping out energy to fight the disease”. Today Alexandre is well. He keeps the healing painting in a place of honor in his office.

When art and dreams are allied, they are powerful healers…

Quite recently, I met the Deer Woman in a dream in which I was at another of Robert’s workshops, showing my drawings to the other participants. They were in many styles, with varied subjects. As I tidied up my pictures to get ready for the next workshop session, a very tall and very beautiful woman arrived On her head she wore the magnificent antlers of a deer, fashioned from metal and precious stones. She approached me and told me that she wanted to see my drawings. When I woke up, I felt honored by this presence, filled with energy and confidence. I knew I had received confirmation of my life direction. The way of Active Dreaming, marrying Art and Dream, is the way I must follow.
