\"\"<\/a>It was a wild ride this weekend. I live on water and was in the path of hurricane Irene.<\/p>\n

We had a lot of flooding and water in the garage but no major damage. Our neighbor’s trees fell on our property but fell in such a way that they stopped before hitting our glass sun room. It literally looked like an angel stood in front of the glass and told the tree that was far enough. Made great pictures. The trees are hanging over our house but not on the house! The river has receded and the water is gone.<\/p>\n

Best of all, it was another great opportunity to talk to my neighbors about the power of prayer. During the clean up, we made it clear that people all over the country were praying for our safety and God protected our house.We never lost power, which was a miracle in itself.<\/p>\n

And during the 16 hours of storm, our neighborhood, my relatives, friends all over the country were on Facebook getting updates and encouraging us. How cool was that? My brother in Maine, my nephew in NYC, my friend in Chicago, best friends in San Diego, etc. We kept in contact during the progress of the storm. Social media made that all possible.<\/p>\n

Thank you to the people all over the country who prayed for us. Several of my “fans” on my professional page of Facebook<\/a> prayed. You guys are the best!<\/p>\n

And I trust God used this to encourage our neighbors and friends regarding the power of prayer and the importance of a relationship with God. During the storm, I was calm because I knew God was right there. He commands the wind and rain. And yesterday, His presence was felt but also seen!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
