They want to be in an equal partnership with researchers, and they want researchers to come up with new depression treatments.<\/p>\n<p>In Alberta, Canada, the <span style=\"color: #0000ff\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff\" href=\"https:\/\/albertainnovates.ca\/our-health-innovation-focus\/the-alberta-spor-support-unit\/patient-engagement-platform\/alberta-depression-research-priority-setting-project\/\">Alberta Strategy for Patient Orientated Research Unit (SPOR)<\/a><\/span> and CDRIN asked Albertans what they felt were priorities for depression research. Over six months, SPOR identified 900 questions the public wanted answered. From those, the committee trimmed it down to 11 questions. These 11 questions are presented below.<\/p>\n<p>What is amazing is that\u00a0people\u00a0are willing to go into very personal details when it comes to sharing experiences, and what they want changed in treatment and research.
