It&#8217;s always important to stop and listen to your own needs. But self care falls\u00a0by the side of our lives too many times. So to remind you about self care, here&#8217;s some ideas and tips taken from \u00a0<span style=\"color: #0000ff\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff\" href=\"http:\/\/www.suicidepreventionlifeline.org\/\">National Suicide Prevention Lifeline.<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Here&#8217;s 31 tips for self care:<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>1. Take a walk outside<\/p>\n<p>2. Write a love letter to yourself<\/p>\n<p>3. Write about something you are grateful for in your life (it can be a person, place, or thing)<\/p>\n<p>4. Create a happy playlist and a\u00a0coping playlist<\/p>\n<p>5. Treat yourself to a favorite\u00a0snack<\/p>\n<p>6. Watch your favorite movie<\/p>\n<p>7. Forgive someone<\/p>\n<p>8. Forgive yourself<\/p>\n<p>9. Say thank you to someone who has\u00a0helped you recently<\/p>\n<p>10. Create a DIY self-care kit of things\u00a0that\u00a0make you feel better<\/p>\n<p>11. Take your medication\u00a0on time<\/p>\n<p>12. Take a new\u00a0fitness class at the gym (yoga, Zumba, etc.)<\/p>\n<p>13. Plan a lunch date with someone you haven\u2019t seen in a while<\/p>\n<p>14. Pamper yourself with an at-home\u00a0spa day<\/p>\n<p>15. Take a day off from social media and the\u00a0Internet<\/p>\n<p>16. Cuddle with your pets\u00a0or a friend\u2019s pet<\/p>\n<p>17. Take the time to stop, stand\u00a0and stretch\u00a0for 2 minutes<\/p>\n<p>18. Wake up a little earlier and enjoy\u00a0your\u00a0a\u00a0morning cup of tea or coffee\u00a0before the morning rush<\/p>\n<p>19. Take a hot shower or bath<\/p>\n<p>20. Take yourself out\u00a0to\u00a0dinner<\/p>\n<p>21. Start that one project you\u2019ve been contemplating\u00a0for a while<\/p>\n<p>22. Sit with your emotions, and allow yourself to feel and accept them. It\u2019s okay to laugh, cry, just feel whatever you\u2019re feeling with no apologies!<\/p>\n<p>23. Cook a favorite meal\u00a0from scratch<\/p>\n<p>24. Take a 5-minute break in your day<\/p>\n<p>25. Compliment someone (and yourself, too!)<\/p>\n<p>26. Give yourself permission to say no<\/p>\n<p>27. De-clutter your mind: write down 5 things that are bothering you, and then literally throw them away<\/p>\n<p>28. Donate 3 pieces of clothing that you no longer wear<\/p>\n<p>29. Take the time to find 5 beautiful things during your daily routine<\/p>\n<p>30. Take a mental health day from school, work, etc.<\/p>\n<p>31.
