As a wife of one of the newly ordained on June 13 in Los Angeles, I was saddened to read the blog about our wonderful husband’s ordination. Calling us a Deacon Couple honors our marriage and the role we undertake in the community. It is nowhere near a “co-ordination” nor anything else that may have been implied in the blog and subsequent comments. Some of the 9 women in our group have their own ministries and some do not, but whatever happens in the life of the Deacon’s wife, we lovingly stand alongside our husbands in their chosen role as an ordained Deacon.<\/p>\n
I look forward to hearing about any new ordained Deacon and keep them and their wives in my prayers. It is hard enough to carry on God’s work either from home or in the community, we shouldn’t be hearing criticism from within.
