I loved Alice Sebold’s “The Lovely Bones”<\/a> when I read the novel a few years back. It’s a fascinating and moving glimpse at grief, narrated by a young girl who was murdered and who recounts how she watches over her family, and tries to bring her killer to justice. <\/p>\n

Now, Peter “Lord of the Rings” Jackson has adapted the book into a movie, due out in December. The trailer was released while I was on vacation. It looks awfully good — and could well solidify the reputation of Mark Wahlberg (who plays the girl’s father). <\/p>\n
