“Congratulations to Deacon James Stokes — ordained by Bishop Thomas Wenski, ordinary of the Diocese of Orlando, to the diaconate on Sunday, August 31, 2008. Jim is the only ordinandus to the “permanent” diaconate for Orlando this year, as there was not a class for the diocese as a whole. Jim started as a candidate for the Archdiocese of Miami, and transferred to Orlando during his training. He is an assistant city attorney for Palm Bay, Florida, and has a wife, Claudia, and son, Joseph.”<\/p>\n
