With one <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Jesus-Nazareth-Pope-Benedict-XVI\/dp\/0385523416\/ref=pd_bbs_1\/104-3354165-9981501?ie=UTF8&amp;s=books&amp;qid=1187032622&amp;sr=8-1\">bestseller<\/a> under his cincture, and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Apostles-Pope-Benedict-XVI\/dp\/1592764053\/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1\/104-3354165-9981501?ie=UTF8&amp;s=books&amp;qid=1187032675&amp;sr=1-1\">another<\/a> on the way, and with a widely praised <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/God-Love-Deus-Caritas-Benedict\/dp\/1574557580\/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1\/104-3354165-9981501?ie=UTF8&amp;s=books&amp;qid=1187032722&amp;sr=1-1\">encyclical<\/a> still stirring the hearts of the faithful around the world, he&#8217;s now set to work on <a href=\"http:\/\/www.timesonline.co.uk\/tol\/comment\/faith\/article2237625.ece\">encyclical #2<\/a>:<i><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>   Pope Benedict XVI is working on a doctrinal pronouncement that will condemn tax evasion as \u201csocially unjust\u201d, according to Vatican sources. <\/p>\n<p>In his second encyclical \u2013 the most authoritative statement a pope can issue \u2013 the pontiff will denounce the use of \u201ctax havens\u201d and offshore bank accounts by wealthy individuals, since this reduces tax revenues for the benefit of society as a whole. <\/p>\n<p>It will focus on humanity\u2019s social and economic problems in an era of globalisation. Pope Benedict intends to argue for a world trade and economic system \u201cregulated in such a way as to avoid further injustice and discrimination\u201d, Ignazio Ingrao, a Vatican watcher, said yesterday. <\/p>\n<p>The encyclical, drafted during his recent holiday in the mountains of northern Italy, takes its cue from Pope Paul VI\u2019s encyclical Populorum Progressio (On the Development of Peoples), issued 40 years ago. In it the pontiff focused on \u201cthose peoples who are striving to escape from hunger, misery, endemic diseases and ignorance and are looking for a wider share in the benefits of civilisation\u201d.
