My experiment<\/p>\n

using Carmen Torbus’s book,<\/p>\n

THE ARTIST UNIQUE,<\/p>\n

has turned into a wonderful<\/p>\n

experience.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

I used her book, internet resources, and the advice of friends to explore this entirely new medium.\u00a0 I invited a good friend of mine to experiment with me.\u00a0 She had the materials and equipment on hand, but had never invited herself to jump in.\u00a0 So with music playing and good conversation, we had a great creative day together.\u00a0 And both of us knew more at the end of the day than we knew when the day started.<\/p>\n

Part of the commitment to this creative process was that I would make something to give away.\u00a0 I used my circle on Facebook and over a dozen of\u00a0 my Pride Pods found happy homes.\u00a0 Gifts sent out into the world as messengers of tolerance and community.\u00a0 I’ve worn one out into the world on three occasions – and each time that someone commented on the piece with some statement resembling, “Where did you gete that – I’ve never seen anything like it,” I gave it to them.<\/p>\n

This process ignited a real interest in the world of polymer clay.\u00a0 I used my new found skills to create a party favor for my guests at our Independence Day celebration.\u00a0 I hammered copper to make a bookmark base and attached the Red, White and Blue pod.\u00a0 Another “Pride” Pod.\u00a0 Pride comes in all different colors!<\/p>\n

Creativity comes in all different modes and ways.\u00a0 This is a new expression for me.\u00a0 I am committed to continue turning Experiments into Experiences!\u00a0 And Carmen Torbus’s encouragement started this all.\u00a0 I wonder what her inspiration might get started for you?<\/p>\n
