“Stand in the center of the circle and let all things take
\ntheir course.”  <\/span>Lao Tsu<\/p>\n

Perfect concept on the heels of just yesterday resigning as
\ngeneral manager of the universe.  <\/span><\/p>\n

At 6:30 AM this prompted me to turn off my alarm and wake up
\nwhen my body wanted to.  <\/span>The sore
\nthroat propelled me to the center of my own circle of self care.  <\/span>Not setting the alarm for any specific
\ntime just “later than Now,” didn’t matter.  <\/span>I just let things take their course.  <\/span>Turns out I folded myself into a mighty
\ninventive, productive and engaging day. 
\n<\/span>And felt pretty good in spite of a rough start.  <\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

My friend, Grady, posted his new favorite quote on
\nFacebook.  <\/span>From B.J. Bedform I’m
\nblessed with, “I kept myself calm by making sure I didn’t concentrate on anything
\nI couldn’t control.”  <\/span>B.J. was an
\nOlympic swimmer in 2000.  <\/span>These
\nwords apply wonderfully well to my Olympic Experience in being in business for
\nmyself.  <\/span>The competition feels
\nOlympic to me, most days.  <\/span>This
\nconcept puts me right in the center of my own good brain and heart.  <\/span>The only two realms in the entire
\nuniverse over which I exert control.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Looking out, through the ballast that cushions me while I’m
\nstanding in the center of this metaphorical circle, I’m protected from the
\nswish and swoosh of perilous waters, blowing winds and drama, fabricated or
\npressing, of any kind.  <\/span>This is a
\ncenter stage I could get used to.  <\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
