Neil Gaiman addressed the graduating class of the University of the Arts, in Philadelphia on May 17, 2012.\u00a0 His words are exceptionally relevant to me in my life and career (after 35 artful years).\u00a0 Perhaps they are even more relevant to me than they might have been to graduates just “starting out.”<\/p>\n

Rather than identifying a specific plan and anticipating a career trajectory – as is so commonly advised – Gaiman just made a list of things he wanted to accomplish.\u00a0 Even if you have a career plan, you may still be inspired to make a list of your own.<\/p>\n
