\nI know she looked like a postal clerk

I was sure you\u2019d know what I knew
\nthe instant I saw her try
\nto brighten an elder\u2019s day
\njust by the twinkle in her eye.<\/p>\n
I wish you\u2019d been there
\nthe day I saw Santa
\ndelivering those warm coats
\nto homeless girls and boys.<\/p>\n
I recognized the compassion
\nin each festive action
\ngiving children what they needed
\nPLUS a sweet little toy.<\/p>\n
I wish you could hear
\nthe chorus of bliss
\nwhen Santa burst the silence
\nof the room with Just This…<\/p>\n
You are everywhere present
\nin each occasion or day
\nYour feet are not walking here
\nbut your spirit finds a way.<\/p>\n
You are always with us
\nAlthough it looks like you are gone.
\nYou draw attention to the little
\nthings – the sweet joys who have won<\/p>\n
a place in our vision, a
\nlittle note in our heart.
\nDon\u2019t wish away your wishes
\nbecause our loved ones
\nare ALWAYS with us –
\ndoing their part.<\/p>\n
It\u2019s the magic of all that love
\nthat brings them close – right here.
\nThey are present in every \u201cSanta\u201d
\nWhen you see with your soul, it\u2019s clear.
\nNo need to go a\u2019wishing
\nthat they are here with you.
\nThey are present in each kindness
\nthat you take the time to do.<\/p>\n
Let\u2019s DO a little more seeing
\nwith eyes ancestrally informed.
\nLet\u2019s DO a lot more giving.
\nBy such grace the earth\u2019s adorned.<\/p>\n
