Christian music fans are lifting up Natalie Grant in prayer after the beloved artist revealed she was hospitalized following a frightening accident that led to internal injuries and emergency surgery.<\/p>\n

Grant, 54, shared the update on social media, explaining that what began as a routine day helping her daughter move home from college quickly turned into a medical crisis. After packing boxes and loading the car, Grant said the family walked to dinner when she tripped on a sidewalk and “took a hard fall.”<\/p>\n

“Basically, I wiped out,” she wrote<\/a>, alongside a photo from her hospital bed.<\/p>\n

At first, the injury seemed minor\u2014possibly a fractured rib. But doctors soon discovered something far more serious. The fall caused a bleeding kidney and a blood clot in her bladder, conditions that required immediate surgery.<\/p>\n

“But what I thought might be a fractured rib turned into a hospital stay \u2014 a serious internal situation,” Grant shared, describing the ordeal as “pretty scary.”<\/p>\n

Despite the shock of it all, Grant’s response reflected the faith that has defined both her life and music. “Thank you, Jesus, it went well today, I’m on the mend and will make a full recovery,” she wrote after the successful procedure.<\/p>\n

She also took a moment to express deep gratitude for the medical team that cared for her. Doctors and nurses, she said, “moved quickly, cared deeply, and got me through” the emergency.<\/p>\n

As she begins the road to recovery, Grant asked her supporters for continued prayer. “I sure would appreciate your prayers for a quick recovery,” she wrote, adding a heartfelt reminder: “Hug your people. Slow down. And maybe \u2026 watch where you’re walking.”<\/p>\n

The response from the Christian music community was immediate and overwhelming. Artists like Michael W. Smith, CeCe Winans, and TobyMac shared messages of encouragement and prayer, reflecting the deep respect and love Grant has earned over decades of ministry through music.<\/p>\n
