The 80-year-old star admitted she\u2019s not yet ready to return to the demanding level of live performance. \u201cIt\u2019s going to take me a little while before I\u2019m up to stage-performance level,\u201d she explained, adding with her signature humor that treatments sometimes leave her feeling \u201ca little bit swimmy-headed.\u201d She joked, \u201cI can\u2019t be dizzy, carrying around banjos, guitars, and such on five-inch heels.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Thank you for standing by me and showing me so much love and support over the past year. Parton revealed she has long dealt with kidney stones, which have affected her immune and digestive systems. \u201cThey\u2019re working real hard on rebuilding and strengthening those,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>Despite these challenges, Parton emphasized that she\u2019s far from slowing down completely. \u201cI am still working,\u201d she said. \u201cI still do videos, I still record\u2026 I\u2019m working hard on getting my museum and my hotel open in Nashville.\u201d She\u2019s also pouring energy into her Broadway musical, &#8220;Dolly: A True Original Musical,&#8221; expected to debut in New York later this year.<\/p>\n<p>The decision to cancel her Las Vegas shows\u2014six performances scheduled for September\u2014was not made lightly. \u201cI am truly sorry that I\u2019m gonna miss all of you,\u201d she told fans. \u201cHopefully\u2026 I\u2019ll see you somewhere down the line.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The past year has also brought personal heartbreak. Parton reflected on the loss of her husband, Carl Dean, who passed away in March 2025 after nearly six decades of marriage. \u201cI will always love him and I\u2019ll always miss him,\u201d she said, thanking fans for their support during such a difficult season.<\/p>\n<p>Even in the midst of grief and health challenges, Parton\u2019s faith and gratitude shine through. \u201cThey say that a happy heart is like good medicine,\u201d she said, choosing to keep her outlook \u201clight and airy.\u201d She reassured fans that she\u2019s in good hands medically, adding, \u201cI have great doctors\u2026 everything I have is treatable.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>For a woman whose life and career have been built on resilience, joy, and unwavering faith, this moment is simply another chapter\u2014not the final one.<\/p>\n<p><em>Lord, thank You for Dolly\u2019s strength and spirit.
