Miss Kay Robertson is experiencing what her family calls an “unbelievable” health comeback after months of grief and physical decline following the loss of her husband, Duck Dynasty<\/em> patriarch Phil Robertson.<\/p>\n

Phil passed away on May 25 at age 79 after a battle with Alzheimer’s disease. The couple had been together for over 60 years, and his death hit Miss Kay hard. According to their son Willie Robertson, her physical and emotional health took a noticeable turn for the worse in the weeks after his passing.<\/p>\n

“Kay is not in the best of health,” Willie told<\/a> USA TODAY Network<\/em> in June. We’re trying to help her out as much as we can.”<\/p>\n

But in a recent interview with Fox News Digital<\/em>, Willie gave a joyful update: “She is doing so much better. It’s unbelievable how she made the turn. I think she was just really kind of depressed after Phil passed away. You know, you’ve been with somebody for over 60 years… she was struggling with that a bit. But man, she’s bounced back.”<\/p>\n

Willie said Miss Kay has started going back to church, traveling, and even filming new episodes of Duck Dynasty: The Revival<\/em>, the family’s newly relaunched reality show. “She just went to church. I think she’s going out of town this weekend. She’s on our show.”<\/p>\n

Korie Robertson added, “She was on the ‘Duck Call Room’ podcast, and she said it was a proof of life video<\/a>. She’s been with us for a few things we’ve been filming this week. That’s been really special.”<\/p>\n

Miss Kay’s health challenges had first become public<\/a> in April when her son Jase revealed she had suffered a fall and an infection that required hospitalization. Her absence at the premiere of Duck Dynasty: The Revival<\/em> on June 1 led fans to worry. At the time, the family wasn’t sure she would recover.<\/p>\n

“We were kind of dealing with the fact that maybe this is it,” Jase admitted on the Unashamed<\/em> podcast.<\/p>\n

But now, Miss Kay appears to be gaining new strength, both physically and spiritually. Willie said the family leaned on their faith as they navigated Phil’s passing and Kay’s decline. “We were just happy knowing that he’s gone on to be with the Lord,” he said. “That’s pretty much all he talked about\u2014his faith and hope. And Kay has really stuck close to the family.”<\/p>\n
