The 19-year-old daughter of \u201cGood Morning America\u201d co-host Michael Strahan posted an update on her YouTube series, where she\u2019s been sharing her health journey after having emergency surgery in October 2023 to remove a large medulloblastoma, a type of malignant tumor, in her cerebellum. In her latest vlog, titled \u201cGoodbye Hospital,\u201d the model and student was back at the Duke Children&#8217;s Hospital &amp; Health Center in Durham, North Carolina, where she had just had her chemotherapy port surgically removed.<\/p>\n<p>Isabella then opened up about how much pain she was in the next day after the port in her neck and stomach was taken out. She said, wincing in pain, \u201cMy side hurts a lot. It feels like I got stabbed. I was like, \u2018Oh, it doesn\u2019t hurt that much.\u2019 I think it\u2019s because all of the stuff wore off. I can\u2019t stand up straight. I also feel like the tube was going into my heart because my heart started cramping. I don\u2019t know if that\u2019s supposed to happen, but not enjoyable.\u201d\u00a0She added, showing off her bandaged incision, \u201cIt definitely doesn\u2019t feel great.\u201d Isabella then received an MRI and arrived at her last doctor\u2019s appointment to review her scans. She was all smiles after learning that she is now cancer-free, eight months after her brain tumor diagnosis.<\/p>\n<p><iframe title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/EJ-oIvs--B4?si=7iZKkPJ3m5G0hzG4\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>She said, \u201cIt was a great, great scan. Everything was clear. Cancer-free, and everything is great. I don\u2019t have another doctor\u2019s appointment until October. I miss my doctors already and everyone who&#8217;s helped me because they\u2019re all so nice. I feel like I\u2019m just saddened today knowing that I wasn\u2019t gonna be going back for a while because I love them so much. So, that was my last hospital vlog until October!\u201d Last month, Isabella celebrated the end of her cancer treatment journey. Since her diagnosis, she\u2019s gone through six weeks of radiation, four rounds of chemotherapy and three brain surgeries.<\/p>\n<p>In a vlog posted on June 16, she rang the hospital bell surrounded by her family and friends. They cheered her on with balloons, bubbles, and homemade posters.\u00a0Isabella said with a big smile on her face, \u201cRing the bell three times well. It\u2019s a toll to clearly say my treatment is done, this course is run, and I\u2019m on my way!\u201d Michael Strahan wrote on Instagram, \u201c@isabellastrahan, you are a SUPERWOMAN! Ringing that bell, finishing chemo and on your way! You continue to fight with a smile on your face, strength, and determination. I am one proud Dad! Love you, Bella.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Isabella celebrated the news by returning to her studies. After receiving the all-clear from her doctors, Isabella returned to the University of Southern California in August to resume her studies after taking a leave of absence following her brain cancer diagnosis.<\/p>\n<p>The decision to return to USC comes after a year filled with uncertainty, but Isabella\u2019s determination and positive outlook have guided her back to campus life.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Isabella Strahan is officially cancer-free!
