Lily Harley was only four years old when she was diagnosed with grade 3 ependymoma brain tumor in January 2022. After fighting cancer for over a year, Lily tragically lost her battle in March 2023, according to SWNS. Lily&#8217;s parents, Emily Morton, 26, and Josh Harley, 28, are now attempting to make their daughter&#8217;s dying wish come true.<\/p>\n<p>Morton said that before their daughter died, all Lily wanted to do was go on a beach vacation with her family. The parents are ow trying to honor their daughter&#8217;s wish by leaving rocks with her name at all of the beaches they visit. &#8220;When she died, we wanted to get away and go on that holiday in her honor, and felt like leaving a pebble with her name on it is a way of taking her to all of the places we never got to,&#8221; she told SWNS. The parents have created a charity called Lily&#8217;s Rainbow Fund with OSCAR\u2019s Pediatric Brain Tumor Charity to help support other children with brain tumors. With the help of the charity, Harley&#8217;s friends and family began painting rocks and bringing them around the world in her honor. Over 100 rocks have been painted and Lily&#8217;s legacy has been able to visit over 60 locations. Lily&#8217;s legacy has been able to travel to Spain, Italy, Scotland, Canada and so many more. &#8220;We don\u2019t want her to be forgotten, [but] we also want to be a part of something much bigger and help raise funds and awareness for pediatric brain tumors,&#8221; said Lily&#8217;s mom. &#8220;Nothing will bring Lily back, so we need to do what we can with our experience to try and ensure [that] as [few] families as possible go through this.&#8221; Morton said that Lily would have wanted to help others. &#8220;We know that Lily would have wanted this \u2014 she\u2019d have loved the attention and helping others,&#8221; she said.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Two parents from England are honoring their late daughter after she passed away from a rare type of brain tumor in March 2023.
