Micucci, who played Lucy on the sitcom, shared the news of her diagnosis on TikTok. \u201cHey everybody, this is not a TikTok, it\u2019s a \u2018Sick Tok,\u2019\u201d she said in the video. \u201cI\u2019m in the hospital but it\u2019s because I had lung cancer surgery yesterday. They caught it really early.\u201d She added that her diagnosis was unexpected. \u201cIt\u2019s really weird, because I\u2019ve never smoked a cigarette in my life. So, you know, it was a surprise. But also I guess, it happens and the greatest news is they caught it early, they got it out, I\u2019m all good.\u201d According to the American Cancer Society, research has shown that lung cancer diagnoses have risen among women in recent years, even though they have never smoked. He scanned my heart and that\u2019s where the spot in my lung was noticed.\u201d Micucci, who also works as an artist, said that she plans to slowly return back to work when she is healthy and able to. \u201cIt\u2019s been a little bit of a trip and [I\u2019ll] probably be moving slow for a few weeks but then I\u2019ll be back at it,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>Later that week, Micucci posted an update video letting her fans know that she had another successful surgery and is now cancer free. \u201cHey everyone! I just wanted to thank you all so much for the good wishes and all the love that I have received this past week,\u201d Micucci said in a health update posted to her TikTok. \u201cIt meant so much to me and really came at a time that I really needed it so thank you. I have great news, which is that I am cancer free!\u201d She continued, \u201cThe surgery last week went great. All the reports came back that it worked. I don\u2019t need to do any other treatment. So big thank you to all my doctors and nurses and everyone that took just really great care of me. And thanks to figuring it out early because I am very, very lucky and I know that. I\u2019m just really grateful that things worked out as they did. I\u2019m feeling really good today and I\u2019m honestly just so excited and truly grateful. So thank you all for all the prayers and wishes.
