During his tenure at Jackson State, Sanders notably had foot issues that forced him into a scooter on the sidelines. He had two toes on his left foot amputated due to blood clots.<\/p>\n<p>Sanders recently posted a video showing his situation has gotten grimmer. A clip of \u201cThe Pregame,\u201d which documents Colorado\u2019s football season, showed Sanders meeting with orthopedic surgeon Dr. Kenneth Hunt and vascular surgeons Dr. Donald Jacobs and Dr. Max Wohlauder of Colorado University.<\/p>\n<p>He explained, \u201cI don\u2019t have feeling in the bottom of my foot at all. I just want to know what we could do because I want to do it this summer. When we get rolling, I\u2019m not gonna have time to do it.\u201d Dr. Jacobs gave Sanders the brutal reality he could face, saying, \u201cYou just have to understand what the risks are. Things can cascade.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><iframe title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/ypG9dRszbDI\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Sanders replied, saying he knew the risks, given that he only has eight toes, but Dr. Jacobs said it wasn\u2019t the toes Sanders could lose. He said, \u201cHe could lose the foot. It\u2019s a risk.\u201d It\u2019s unclear if Sanders will commit to surgery. He vowed to keep progressing in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/Cte1hhJAm5W\/\">caption of the Instagram video.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>He wrote, \u201cAs you know, I\u2019ve faced some medical challenges with my foot, but I\u2019ve never said \u2018WHY ME,\u2019 I keep moving forward, progressing. See, you never know what a person may be going through while I sit in your seat of judgment, but you can trust and believe that we are all going through something \u2013 just keep the faith and know that if He brought you to it, He would bring you through it.
