The video showed her going through radiation treatment that took place in January. &#8220;My fear is obvious,&#8221; Doherty wrote in the caption. &#8220;I am extremely claustrophobic and there was a lot going on in my life. I am fortunate as I have great doctors like Dr. Amin Mirahdi and the amazing techs at Cedar Sinai. But that fear\u2026. The turmoil\u2026.. the timing of it all\u2026. This is what cancer can look like.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Doherty was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 2015, but went into remission in 2017 after undergoing a single mastectomy and chemotherapy. By 2020, Doherty had announced that her cancer had come back as stage 4. &#8220;I definitely have days where I say, \u2018Why me?\u2019 And then I go, \u2018Well, why not me? Who else? Who else besides me deserves this?\u2019 None of us do,&#8221; Doherty said on Good Morning America at the time. &#8220;I don\u2019t think I\u2019ve processed it. It\u2019s a bitter pill to swallow in a lot of ways.&#8221; The actress continued to work after the cancer came back, starring in &#8220;List of a Lifetime,&#8221; &#8220;Dying to Belong,&#8221; and &#8220;Fortress.&#8221; Doherty spoke about working while fighting cancer saying, &#8220;I want people to not hear stage 4 cancer and think of the person that is gray and falling over and they can&#8217;t move and they&#8217;re going into hospice and they can&#8217;t work,&#8221; she previously said in an interview with Entertainment Tonight. &#8220;You get written off so quickly, even though you&#8217;re vital and healthy and happy and wanting to go out there and work.&#8221;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&#8220;Beverly Hills, 90210&#8221; star Shannen Doherty recently shared an emotional video to her Instagram revealing that her cancer had spread to her brain.
