Sam Neill, best known for his role in the \u201cJurassic Park\u201d film franchise, recently revealed his \u201cferocious\u201d stage three blood cancer diagnosis. The 75-year-old actor told the BBC that he was diagnosed in March 2022.<\/p>\n

In the first chapter of his new book, \u201cDid I Ever Tell You This<\/a>?\u201d Neill wrote, \u201cThe thing is, I\u2019m crook. Possibly dying.\u201d Neill turned to writing to distract himself and give himself a reason to get through the day. During a press tour for \u201cJurassic World Dominion,\u201d Neill noticed that the glands in his neck didn\u2019t feel right. After learning his diagnosis from doctors, Neill said his response was stoic, but it made him \u201ctake stock of things.\u201d<\/p>\n

He told the BBC<\/a>, \u201cI thought I need to do something, and I thought, \u2018Shall I start writing?\u2019 I didn\u2019t think I had a book in me. I just thought I\u2019d write some stories. And I found it increasingly engrossing.\u201d Neill continued, \u201cA year later, not only have I written the book, I didn\u2019t have a ghostwriter, but it\u2019s come out in record time. I suspect my publishers, they\u2019re delightful people, but I think they wanted to get it out in a hurry just in case I kicked the bucket before it was time to release the thing.\u201d<\/p>\n
