Fury of the Gods\u201d\u00a0star responded with a very sobering response to a fan\u2019s playful tweet about where he is. \u201cSittin in my dad\u2019s hospital room with him,\u201d he\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/ZacharyLevi\/status\/1614901558864654337\">wrote<\/a>. \u201cHe\u2019s not doin so hot right now.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He detailed how Pugh\u2019s cancer had progressed from his thyroid and is now \u201cslowly overtaking his trachea.\u201d He said that while doctors may have \u201ca trick or two\u201d to give him some time, \u201cPapa D is not long for this world.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>That same fan followed up and asked him what he needed right now. Levi responded, indicating that he had come to terms with his father\u2019s apparent terminal prognosis. \u201cI\u2019m doing just fine,\u201d he wrote, thanking the fan. \u201cDeath does not sadden or frighten me. It\u2019s actually an incredibly powerful part of life. One that we\u2019ll all reach one day.\u201d He shared that he believes that when we die, we \u201cget to go back to God, the source, and be surrounded by the highest vibration of love.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Sittin in my dad\u2019s hospital room with him. He\u2019s not doin so hot right now. The thyroid cancer just won\u2019t quit, and is slowly overtaking his trachea. Doctor\u2019s may have a trick or two still up their sleeves to offer him a bit more time, but Papa D is not long for this world. ? <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/AZcPQdC3he\">https:\/\/t.co\/AZcPQdC3he<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Zachary Levi (@ZacharyLevi) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/ZacharyLevi\/status\/1614901558864654337?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">January 16, 2023<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>While he expressed that he\u2019s come to a sort of peace with his father passing, he did\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/ZacharyLevi\/status\/1614909381086449665\">follow up<\/a>\u00a0with a call for prayers in an additional tweet. His prayers were not to change his father\u2019s path but to help prepare him for it. \u201cPray that he be as comfy and at peace, as a man could get,\u201d he asked his followers. \u201cAnd that he heads home with no fear or regrets, knowing how loved he is.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Levi has subsequently been active on his social media, sharing various posts and memes and continuing to interact with his fans. He has not offered any additional updates about his father. Back in November, Levi had shared with his followers on\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/zacharylevi\/?hl=en\">Instagram<\/a>\u00a0a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/ClkCzNkIjEz\/?hl=en\">video<\/a>\u00a0of him and his father in the hospital ahead of a \u201cbig surgery.\u201d Afterward, he\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/ClmaihSSDSS\/?hl=en\">shared<\/a>\u00a0that the surgery had successfully removed 90 percent of Pugh\u2019s cancer.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHE LIVESSS!!! The surgery went very well, and the surgeons were able to remove 90% of the cancer from his body! PuuuhRAISE!!! ?\u201d Levi wrote in his caption at the time. \u201cThank you all for your continued and humbling show of love, and light, and thoughts, and prayers, and just overall intentional, positive energy that you have sent his, and our, way,\u201d the actor added in that Instagram caption. \u201cIt has meant more than any of these words can really say.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>At the time, Levi wrote that \u201cthe hope now\u201d for his father after the November 2022 surgery \u201cis that between these new drugs targeting the remaining cancer in his body, and all the scrumptious, natural stuff we\u2019re gonna be pumping him with, we can get him back to living his life, pimp walkin his way down the promenade in Ventura, puttin out the Papa-D vibezzz.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Many celebrities supported the actor in response to his heartbreaking news, with\u00a0Sherri Shepherd\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/sherrishowtv\/status\/1614985046590382081\">writing<\/a>, \u201csending love and light.\u201d Jane Lynch\u00a0also chimed in,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/janemarielynch\/status\/1615226765169020936\">writing<\/a>, \u201cLove and comfort and peace to you and Dad.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Zachary Levi\u00a0is staying by his father Darrell Pugh\u2019s side amid his bout with thyroid cancer but keeping in touch with his fans via social media.
