I&#8217;ve been knee-deep in <a href=\"http:\/\/twitter.com\/?photo_id=1#!\/jasonboyett\/status\/132508774412992512\/photo\/1\" target=\"_blank\">my next book<\/a> and am facing a self-imposed deadline.<\/p>\n<p>In the meantime, check out <a href=\"http:\/\/thekidshouldseethis.com\/post\/12326271973\" target=\"_blank\">this video<\/a> of a flock of <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Common_Starling\" target=\"_blank\">starlings<\/a>. The physics of bird behavior in flocks is absolutely fascinating, and I can&#8217;t begin to explain or comprehend it. It&#8217;s well nigh something miraculous, in my opinion. But it&#8217;s awesome to watch, and this is an excellent video of it. Watch it with your kids.<\/p>\n<p>If you&#8217;ve got the wherewithal to try to explain it, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wired.com\/wiredscience\/2010\/06\/starling-physics\/\" target=\"_blank\">this <em>Wired<\/em> article<\/a> will help.
