But then, I&#8217;m a <a href=\"http:\/\/blog.beliefnet.com\/dadequate\/2011\/06\/the-lego-difference-engine.html\" target=\"_blank\">Lego nerd<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Designer\/programmer Tyler Neylon started with a base set of 50 Lego pieces (actually 58, counting some of the really tiny ones), and set out to see if he could <a href=\"https:\/\/plus.google.com\/u\/0\/108419179389291163454\/posts\/brkw1ZPjrzj\">come up with at least 50 unique designs<\/a> using them. From his post on Google+:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Last Christmas, a friend gave me a small Lego set just for fun. It&#8217;s part of a Creator series, where each set comes with instructions for three different models. I love the versatility and expressiveness of Lego, and I think 3 is far too small a number for what can be done with these, so I challenged myself to create 50 original designs with this one set of about 50 pieces.
