\"Get<\/a>Ok, I’m going to be a little bit self-indulgent today. See, it’s Daryl Hall’s birthday, and I’ve been convinced this soulful singer is my soul mate since I was 12-years-old. I’m not sure exactly what I have been basing that on, aside from the fact that he’s a Libra with a beautiful voice who likes cats, but still.<\/p>\n

As a pre-teen, I used to listen to my Hall & Oates records every day, surrounded by Hall & Oates posters, sitting on my Hall & Oates bedspread while writing my weekly love letters to Daryl Hall. I didn’t feel the same way about Oates, but I would at least try to be polite about it. I would read articles about Daryl in magazines, then ask him questions about what I’d read.<\/p>\n

“Dear Daryl, I just read in ‘Teen Beat’ that you have two Macaws. Is that really a good idea with your black cat Lilith on the prowl? Say hi to John for me. Love, Karen.”<\/p>\n

Daryl never wrote back, but my eternal love lasted into adulthood. That is, until the day I finally met him in person in the mid-90s and, frankly, he wasn’t all that nice to me. I told him about the Hall & Oates bedspread I’d had as a kid, and he looked at me like I was crazy and walked away.<\/p>\n

Fair enough.<\/p>\n

But that pretty much killed my crush, not to mention it made me seriously question whether or not we are in fact soul mates. For that matter, I’m not even sure we’re astrologically compatible. Shall we celebrate his birthday by finding out?<\/p>\n

A look at his Daryl’s birth chart shows he is a Libra with an Aries Moon, but we don’t have his exact birth time so I can’t find out his Rising sign. But wow, he does have a ton of key planets in Scorpio — Mercury, Venus, Mars and Jupiter.<\/p>\n

My quick take after looking over his chart is that Daryl Hall is likely an extremely passionate and strong-willed person who’s pretty friendly on the outside, but who has a lot of secrets and a serious dark side. Oh, and his hair is always bound to look fantastic.<\/p>\n
