\"Get<\/a>I love fall, and it finally arrives Saturday. And as I told you yesterday, I\u2019m not quite ready to slip into sweaters and boots, but I am quite ready for a fall feast.<\/p>\n

Food is the best part of the fall season — starting with all that fresh apple pie and corn-on-the-cob in September, gobs of Halloween candy in October, and piles of turkey, mashed potatoes and pumpkin pie for Thanksgiving in November.<\/p>\n

Also, we’re kicking off fall with the Sun in Libra, which actually rules the kidneys. If that sounds weird, it’s not. Each body part is ruled by a zodiac sign, and in this case it’s the kidneys, which means eating food that supports the kidneys is the thing to do this time of year.<\/p>\n

Pumpkin and raisins are two common fall foods that are healthy and support the kidneys, so I’ve dug up these two great recipes for bread pudding and spicy pumpkin pasta.<\/p>\n

This Saturday night we can all dish these up as a yummy way to greet the first official day of fall. And if you’re like me, you won’t stop eating all the way through until spring.<\/p>\n
