Me and dad, back in the day<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

We’re coming up on Father’s Day, and if you haven’t yet thought up the perfect way to make Dad’s day, you\u00a0 might want to let the cosmos be your guide.<\/p>\n

My own dad is a Leo, so he always appreciates looking good. This is him with me at the Oregon coast about a hundred years ago, and as you can see he was quite handsome — and still is!<\/p>\n

I often get him one of those semi-cheesy Hawaiian shirts that never seem to go out of style (mostly because they were never in style to begin with), or a fancy dop kit with expensive, nice-smelling shave cream. And I haven’t had a complaint out of dad, yet!<\/p>\n

Here are some more great ideas based on your own dad’s horoscope sign:<\/p>\n

Aries (March 21 – April 19)<\/strong> — Fire up the grill! Aries is a fire sign, so get him a new barbecue or accessories to fuel his flame!<\/p>\n

Taurus (April 20 – May 20)<\/strong> — Taurus dad’s love to relax, eat, get outdoors and chill. Make him an elaborate dinner, or get him a gift certificate for a massage.<\/p>\n

Gemini (May 21 – June 20)<\/strong> — These intellectual dads love to read, watch movies, play with gadgets and video games. Get him something to stimulate his mind!<\/p>\n

Cancer (June 21 – July 22)<\/strong> — Cancer dads are softies, so get him something sentimental. Think about a framed family photo or a really sweet card.<\/p>\n

Leo (July 23 – August 22)<\/strong> — Glamorous Leo dads love to look good, so get him a stylish shirt or a new grooming kit!<\/p>\n

Virgo (August 23 – September 22)<\/strong> — Virgo dads are very practical, and they’re also into good health. Give him something he can use for both, like a new pair of running shoes or comfy headphones he can wear while working out.<\/p>\n

Libra (September 23 – October 22)<\/strong> — These social dads love to dress up and go out, so think about a gift certificate to a restaurant or a show, and maybe a bottle of cologne to spruce him up before the big night out.<\/p>\n

Scorpio (October 23 – November 21)<\/strong> — Scorpio dads love mystery, so a great spy novel by someone like John le Carr\u00e9 would be perfect. Or take a step further and get him a police scanner so he can listen in on some real life action!<\/p>\n

Sagittarius (November 22 – December 21)<\/strong> — Sag dads love parties and adventure, so get him something new for camping or related to travel. He’d love a backpacking stove, a passport holder or a membership to the Beer-of-the-Month club.<\/p>\n

Capricorn (December 22 – January 19)<\/strong> — These hardworking dads take their careers and their finances seriously. Try gifting him an engraved money clip, or a new leather briefcase to keep his papers in order.<\/p>\n

Aquarius (January 20 – February 18)<\/strong> –Quirky, intellectual Aquarius dads love new technology. Get him a new gadget from the electronics store, like something to help him keep track of those keys he’s always losing!<\/p>\n

Pisces (February 19 – March 20)<\/strong> — Artsy Pisces dads often love to write or take photos. Photography equipment is a great gift, or a fancy engraved pen and leather journal to document his dreams.<\/p>\n
