God of all blessings,
\nsource of all life,
\ngiver of all grace:
\nWe thank you for the gift of life:
\nfor the breath
\nthat sustains life,
\nfor the food of this earth
\nthat nurtures life,
\nfor the love of family and friends
\nwithout which there would be no life.

\nWe thank you for the mystery of creation:
\nfor the beauty
\nthat the eye can see,
\nfor the joy
\nthat the ear may hear,
\nfor the unknown
\nthat we cannot behold filling the universe with wonder,
\nfor the expanse of space
\nthat draws us beyond the definitions of our selves.

\nWe thank you for setting us in communities:
\nfor families
\nwho nurture our becoming,
\nfor friends
\nwho love us by choice,
\nfor companions at work,
\nwho share our burdens and daily tasks,
\nfor strangers
\nwho welcome us into their midst,
\nfor people from other lands
\nwho call us to grow in understanding,
\nfor children
\nwho lighten our moments with delight,
\nfor the unborn,
\nwho offer us hope for the future.

\nWe thank you for this day:
\nfor life
\nand one more day to love,
\nfor opportunity
\nand one more day to work for justice and peace,
\nfor neighbors
\nand one more person to love
\nand by whom be loved,
\nfor your grace
\nand one more experience of your presence,
