If you want to help by making a donation, there&#8217;s no better way than the <a href=\"http:\/\/american.redcross.org\/site\/PageServer?pagename=ntld_main\">Red Cross&#8217;s International Response Fund<\/a>, which has the economies of scale to ensure that every dollar you give can be used to maximum benefit and relief.<\/p>\n<p>If you&#8217;d rather not donate online, you can mail a check to the American Red Cross, P.O. Box 37243, Washington, D.C. 20013 or to your local American Red Cross chapter. Donations to the International Response Fund can be also be made by phone at 1-800-REDCROSS or 1-800-257-7575 (Spanish).<\/p>\n<p>You can also donate to the Red Cross via SMS by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.state.gov\/p\/wha\/ci\/ha\/index.htm\">texting &#8220;HAITI&#8221; to 90999<\/a> to donate $10. Or, you can <a href=\"http:\/\/www.yele.org\/\">text &#8220;YELE&#8221; to 501501<\/a> to donate $5 to the Yele Foundation, founded by Haitian musician Jean Wyclef.<\/p>\n<p>Other reputable organizations accepting online donations earmarked for Haiti are <a href=\"https:\/\/secure.oxfamamerica.org\/site\/Donation2?idb=1051194875&amp;df_id=3560&amp;3560.donation=form1&amp;JServSessionIdr004=09chbjrzg3.app217b\">OxFam America<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.islamicreliefusa.org\/emergencies\/haiti-earthquake\">Islamic Relief USA<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>From the Red Cross <a href=\"http:\/\/redcrosschat.org\/2010\/01\/12\/earthquake-in-haiti\/?utm_source=feedburner&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Feed:+RedCrossChat+(Red+Cross+Chat)\">blog<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>Our thoughts and support are with Haiti.
