\nAnd the leaders of their media

\nThe elections of June 12 was a fulfillment of the nation’s responsibility
\n
\nIt was a proof of participation of the people that was a show of the love towards their system
\n
\nIt is similar but better than the democracies in other countries,
\n
\nBUT
\n
\nThose countries don’t have a democracy as good as ours.
\n
\nThe constitution of 1988
\n
\nThis is the largest number of people that have taken part in an election in Iran since the founding of the republic
\n
\nAnd the passing of the constitution,
\n
\nI would like to deeply thank you
\n
\nThe youngsters in our country showed especially,
\n
\nthat they are partaking in the political process since the beginning of the revolution.
\n
\nNow we’ll see the same responsibilities from them that we saw during the Iraqi Aggression War
\n
\nAs for elections some people want one person others want someone else
\n
\nThis is natural
\n
\nWe saw everyone, men women, the young and the old,
\n
\nPeople participating from all over the country to make this a success,
\n
\nThis election is a political defeat for your enemies,
\n
\nFor your friends all over the world a celebration.
\n
\nA historic one,
\n
\nPeople are showing love and loyalty for their Imam and martyrs
\n
\nAnd for the system
\n
\nThis election was a religious democratic event
\n
\neveryone saw it
\n
\nIt was a showing against the dictators and oppressive regime
\n
\nAnd FOR a show of support for the religion and system.
\n
\nWe can see the results of the exams
\n
\nAlso another point about the election
\n
\nThe election of June 12 showed that people with beliefs and hopes and joys is living in this country.
\n
\nThe enemies are using it,
\n
\nIf our young didn’t have any hope,
\n
\nThey wouldn’t partake in the election
\n
\nIf they didn’t feel freedom, they wouldn’t vote.
\n
\nFaith in the system has been shown by the massive participation.
\n
\nThe enemies target the belief and trust of people on that system
\n
\nThis trust is the biggest investment of the Islamic republic
\n
\nThey wanted to take it from us
\n
\nThey want it to shake our trust in this system
\n
\nThe enemies of the people of Iran will succeed when people won’t participate.
\n
\nThe system will be questioned.
\n
\nOnly when no one partakes in it.
\n
\nWe couldn’t compare that to anything that happens.
\n
\nThe enemy wants to make people believe that they have been fooled
\n
\nIt started 3 months ago.
\n
\nI have been hearing enemies saying repeatedly that the elections will be fraudulent.
\n
\nThey had been preparing months in advance
\n
\nThis 30 year old system has not come about without sacrifices and hard work.
\n
\nAnd people have a firm belief in it.
\n
\nBut the enemies want to shake that very belief.
\n
\nThe third point is,
\n
\nThese rivalries, between different candidates were transparent.
\n
\nThey were clean and clear cut.
\n
\nAnd transparent
\n
\nThe enemies are trying through their media – which is controlled by dirty Zionists.
\n
\nThe Zionist, American and British radio are all trying to say that there was a competition between those who support and those who didn’t support the state
\n
\nEveryone supported the state
\n
\nI know everything about these candidates
\n
\nI have worked with them.
\n
\nI know all of them
\n
\nI don’t believe in everything that they say
\n
\nsome of their views and practices can be criticized
\n
\nI believe that some of them are better in serving the country
\n
\nBUT the people have to make the choice.
\n
\nIt’s not my will
\n
\nMy choice wasn’t told to people,
\n
\nAnd they were not asked to follow my views either

\nThey decided on their own who to follow
\n
\nSo this is a competition within the state
\n
\nIt is not acceptable to change the appearance of the issue

\nthere is no fight between people and state

\nNo revolutionaries and anti-revolutionaries
\n
\nThis is between the state parties

\npeople voted for these people with belief in the state
\n
\nthey came to the understanding that will be better for the state

\nThese competitions and debates were very interesting.

\nIt was very transparent
\n
\nIt was a blow in the face of those who say that this competition is just a formality

\nForgetting that the candidates actually sat and talked.
\n
\npositive aspect of the debates was that during the debate and TV conversation everyone spoke explicitly and openly
\n
\nsaying what they believed
\n
\nThen some criticized the candidates
\n
\nThey had to respond to the criticism
\n
\nThey began to defend themselves
\n
\nThe positions and stances taken by people and groups were presented without any ambiguity
\n
\nSo people could hear what every candidate had to say
\n
\nSo that people could see all of this
\n
\nSo people could judge them all accordingly
\n
\nPeople felt that in the Islamic state, they are not stranger
\n
\nWe don’t have US and THEM
\n
\nEverything was open and transparent before the people
\n
\nEverything was presented clearly
\n
\nIt became clear that people’s vote would rely based on the same judgments
\n
\nPeople wanted to make their choices willingly
\n
\nAnd according to their own tastes
\n
\nThus, the number of votes increased
\n
\nPeople were able to have a better understanding of the views of the candidate
\n
\nthey were able to decide better
\n
\nthe debates were even extended to the streets and homes
\n
\nSo this added to the power of choice of the people
\n
\nSuch debates will strengthen the minds

\nThey shouldn’t get to a point where they lead to major differences

\npeople became emotional

\nI watched the debates on TV

\nI enjoyed freedom of speech
\n
\ni was happy that Islamic republic was there to help people make this choice

\n
\nthe negative aspects made me unhappy
\n
\nfor their supporters this was also not good and they were disturbed by the unfair criticism

\nWe saw this on both sides
\n
\nIn this Friday prayer sermon

\nI should mention of the realities of both sides

\nboth sides can be criticized for such negative aspects of behavior

\nRafsanjani and Nateq Noori’s names have been mentioned

\nThese gentlemen have not been accused of financial misdoings

\nBut their relatives.

\nIf you have anything against them, prove them legally through the courts
\n
\nUnless it is proven, no one can be accused.

\nI have known Rafsanjani for a long time
\n
\nhe is one of the most prominent members of this revolution
\n
\nhe was one of the major fighters before the revolution
\n
\nafter the victory,
\n
\nhe was one the most influential members of the Islamic state
\n
\nstill is
\n
\nhe walked with the Imam
\n
\nStill walking with him
\n
\nhe was almost martyred several times
\n
\nhe spent all his money on the revolution,
\n
\nthey young people should know about this fact

\nhe has had many responsibilities now
\n
\npresident, leader of parliament

\nhe has not made money out of the revolution for himself.

\nSame with Mr. Nateq Noori

\nhe has also served this revolution
\n
\nHe has rendered great services

\nthere is no doubt about it

\nbut the live TV debates are good

\nbut these shortcomings should be removed

\nafter the debates I talked to the president and warned him

\nhe said he will listen to me.
